Sunsational boutique resort
We have visited the Terra Cotta twice now &.overall bother were excellent weekends away & hope to come back at some stage soon. I like to do deeper reviews into the hotel/facilities & the experience for a more rounded view of the place as that’s what I look for when researching new places. The Hotel It’s a small boutique hotel with only around 25 rooms. The room we stayed in seemed mostly refurbished & was quite comfortable. Only thing was blinds didn’t close 100% so we woke up when sun rose but was fine as we had early nights. The recent renovations of the pool now with salt water is fantastic & perfect temp during this time of year, the landscaping around the pool area & fire pit were also nice additions. Look forward to seeing the next stage of enlarging the hot tub when we next visit.). There was plenty of shade around the pool to help escape the desert sun or, if you’re sun worshippers like us, you can get some lounges on the grass area for more sunshine. Overall I’d say compared to other CO/nudist accommodations, this provides best value for $, and it’s nice to not have to pay a fortune for a “back to nature” environment. Buffy the dog was happy meandering between guests, was super placid & loved attention. The Experience Overall, Fantastic!!! Both Tom & John were extremely welcoming, friendly, helpful & superb hosts!! Have read many reviews of other n clothing optional/nudist resorts that people say everyone was super friendly but we’ve never experienced this, until now. All the other guests were so incredibly genuine, welcoming & friendly to both of us as relative newcomers to the clothing optional/nudist lifestyle. Everyone seemed to seamlessly move between conversations with each other either around or in the pool. One of the things that helped us choose terra cotta was their intent to manage the gender balance of guests. It was essentially all couples which was a selling point for us as it meant my wife, who’s not normally comfortable going more than topless, went au natural in this environment and said it was far less intimidating due to the balance. The other nice touch was the wine & snacks each afternoon which was a great way to encourage social interaction. The breakfast was plentiful & another bonus inclusion even though we chose to eat out on the first morning. It was so also great to see other younger couples, also around 30’s, on this occasion trying a nudist vacation. We’d certainly encourage & advocate that this is a great place to try this style of vacation if you haven’t before, or even if you have. We had the privilege of meeting some really genuine people who were extremely friendly to chat away with. I’m sure it’s also a reflection of Tom (Manager) & John (owner) who are incredible hosts making everyone feel welcome & relaxed. Like other reviewers I think that this place is going to become very popular and be frequently booked out. I’m hoping that we’ll get back soon also to check the renovations and enjoy another relaxing time at the Terra Cotta.
