I completed the big three in Istria!

4.0/ 5

Here’s my review, using the Naked Wonderings format. I stayed in September 2019, after the end of the school holiday period. RECEPTION. Once you get past the gate to Lanterna, it is easy to find, and if you are lucky enough to get there when it is quiet, reception is really good. The lady spoke good English and was both cheerful and helpful. But it gets very busy at checkin and checkout time, so be prepared for a wait. LODGING: I stayed in a standard apartment, and it was excellent. Everything looked fairly new and worked well. It wasn’t airconditioned, but it didn’t need it. The trees provided plenty of shade, and maybe it is just well built, because it didn’t retain the heat at all. FACILITIES: I had the half-board option in the main restaurant, which was centrally located in the property, so only a 5 minute walk away. The food was excellent, the best naturist buffet I’ve ever had. The restaurant staff were really good too. The sea shore actually isn’t that great, mainly rocky platforms with ladders into the sea, but the pool, while small, is really good. The wi-fi was weak in my apartment, and didn’t work at the pool, but it was good in the restaurant area. PEOPLE: Mostly german/austrian with a few italians, and mostly older. The STAFF were always pleasant to me, and spoke English. My one disappointment was that the laundry closed at 2.00pm (but when it was open the machines were easy to use). One other thing I liked was that the dog friendly area was separate from the rest of the camp, so you could avoid the dogs if you want. I liked it. I’d stay there again.
