Intima Resort

Although we’ve only been to Intima on a day visit, we could clearly see that the rooms are all high quality. The place has lots of green and an amazing swimming pool surrounded by deck chairs. The only reason why we didn’t give a 5 star rating is because the place could use better management. While all other nudist resorts in the area are packed, we were more or less the only guests at Intima. Luckily we came with a group of nudists from Quintana Roo, otherwise it would have been pretty empty. The bar is supposed to be open all day but we rarely saw a bartender. Also the music is stopped whenever the bartender leaves.

A short review – this place was fantastic, for our first foray into CO vacation I’m glad we did it here. Accommodating staff, great atmosphere, quiet & beautifully kept facility. The longer version, if you’re after details like we were in our research on what to expect etc. we arrived around 9pm & was welcomed by a nice receptionist & the hotel manager, both were extremely hospitable!! The moment of truth came to walk through the doors into our 1st clothing optional resort & not knowing what to expect we were both nervous. It was relatively quiet while we were there I’d say was x2 couples there the whole time, & another 2-3 we saw once each at various other times, so was very quiet. One night a few people were having a laugh playing volleyball & had a few beverages but was far from offensive. If I’d been more comfortable we’d have joined them. As first timers having our little swim up nook was perfect as we could sit in there & wear whatever we were comfortable with. I took the plunge into nudity straight away & my wife was topless the whole time and only went fully nude once in our little nook. Though everyone else was naked at the main pool there was never pressure to take everything off which was nice from her perspective. The whole pool setup is awesome & works perfect for first timers like us as with the little swim up nooks it makes it as private as you like or you can be out in the main pool area for a more social experience. We got out there a couple of times but shyly kept to ourselves. The spa is cozy & warm so we enjoyed that one night to ourselves while a few others were at the pool bar. The rest of the facilities were amazing, great modern room that was a good size, well fitted out & very clean. The towel animals each day from the cleaner were always impressive! If I had to say a down side it was just a little strange walking directly from reception into the “restaurant” so any time you came or went you walked into a dining area. However in current setup isn’t really anywhere else to put it & is such a minor insignificant detail. Overall really enjoyed our first CO hotel experience, we’ll back back at Intima again!!
